Marta has experiences with many of the Private Household Industry's top names and companies.

The course covers :
·Introduction to maintaining a safe environment and lowering risk of injury for infants & children  ( ~ 30 minutes)

·Life-saving skills introduction  -  based on the American Heart Association 2010 international guidelines (90 min +) This will include a portion on airway obstruction removal in both infants and children and ensuring a good outcome.

·Review and questions (20-30 minutes as needed)

Importantly, the skills portion is divided into several parts.  The first is an introductory explanation of what the victim needing CPR looks like and the importance of “keeping your cool” under extreme stress and fear.  This is done by keeping the skills as simple as possible but working to avoid delays in beginning life saving acts.  It will also discuss when to make a  9-1-1 call and how to explain to a medical dispatcher the nature of the problem.

Total time is between 2-3 hours and we strongly encourage the adult learner to avoid bringing infants or children to class.
